This standard specifies the product classification and naming, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester sheet molding compounds (SMC) and bulk molding compounds (BMC) for electrical applications.
This standard applies to fiber-reinforced sheet molding compounds (SMC) and bulk molding compounds (BMC) for electrical applications, which are made with unsaturated polyester resin and vinyl resin as the matrix and glass fiber as the reinforcing material.
