Scope

This part of YY 0605 specifies the characteristics and corresponding test methods of stainless steel for surgical implants with a nitrogen content of 0.25% to 0.5%, which exhibits high strength and good corrosion resistance. Note 1: For samples taken from finished products, the mechanical properties do not need to comply with the provisions of this part. Note 2: For requirements of other stainless steels for surgical implants, see GB 4234—2003. Note 3: Regarding annealed wire, this part only covers the mechanical properties of currently common-sized products. If the buyer needs sizes other than those in Table 4, the tensile strength and elongation should be specified.
