Scope

This standard specifies the shape, basic dimensions, and measurement methods of internal hexagonal head bolts and screws. The contour curve of the internal hexagonal head of bolts or screws is determined by gauges in accordance with Tables 3 to 5. Appendix A provides reference information for drawing the contour curve. This standard applies to the inspection of the dimensions of internal hexagonal heads, but it is not applicable as a manufacturing standard.
