Scope

1.0.1 In order to adapt to the development of urban construction and the progress of water supply engineering technology, better implement the relevant national laws, regulations, and technical and economic policies on urban water supply engineering, improve the scientificity and rationality of urban water supply engineering planning, and ensure the safety of urban water supply, these standards are formulated. 1.0.2 These standards apply to urban master plans, control detailed plans, and special plans for water supply engineering. 1.0.3 Urban water supply engineering planning should proceed from the overall situation and adhere to the principles of ensuring supply, sustainable utilization of water resources, and building water-saving cities. 1.0.4 In addition to complying with these standards, urban water supply engineering planning shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant national standards currently in force.
