Scope

In order to ensure the safety of urban water supply, regulate the construction and operation of urban water supply projects, save resources, and provide a technical basis for government supervision, these regulations are formulated. Urban centralized water supply projects must comply with these regulations. Urban water supply projects shall follow the principles of safe water supply, guaranteed service, resource conservation, environmental protection, and coordinated development with the natural water cycle. Whether the technical methods and measures adopted in the construction of the project meet the requirements of these regulations shall be determined by the relevant responsible entities. Among them, innovative technical methods and measures shall be demonstrated and meet the performance requirements specified in these regulations.
