Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of bromochloroheptane.
This standard applies to bromochloroheptane produced by halogenation of 5,5-dimethylheptane. It is mainly used for disinfection and algae removal in industrial circulating water, swimming pools, landscape fountains, hospital sewage, medical instruments, oilfield water injection, food processing, and hotel sanitary ware. It can also be used for disinfection and preservation in refrigerated warehouses and controlled-atmosphere warehouses, disinfection and preservation in aquaculture, disinfection and quarantine processing at ports, and epidemic prevention and disinfection in epidemic areas.
