Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of bromochloroheptane.
This standard applies to bromochloroheptane prepared by halogenation of 5,5-dimethylheptane. It is mainly used for disinfecting and algaecidal treatment of industrial circulating water, oilfield injection water, domestic sewage, and landscape and recreational water. It can also be used for disinfection and sterilization of swimming pools, medical sewage, food processing and storage, aquaculture, and epidemic prevention and disinfection in epidemic areas.
