Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the naming, design, construction, inspection and acceptance, and use and maintenance of welded steel plate silos (hereinafter referred to as steel plate silos).
This standard applies to welded bulk steel plate silos with a single storage capacity of more than 10,000 tons (inclusive) or a diameter of more than 18 meters (inclusive), which are used to store materials such as cement. Storage silos for powdered materials such as fly ash, slag powder, limestone powder, and cement raw materials can also be used as a reference.
