GB/T 18502-2018 Critical current measurement—DC critical current of Ag-and/or Ag alloy-sheathed Bi-2212 and Bi-2223 oxide superconductors
Basic Information
Scope
This standard test method is applicable to the measurement of the direct critical current of single-core or multi-core Bi2212 and Bi2223 oxide superconductors with an integrated structure, which are round, flat, or square in shape. This standard test method is suitable for superconductors with a critical current of less than 500 A and an n-value greater than 5. The measurement can be carried out with or without an applied magnetic field. When testing in a magnetic field environment, the magnetic field should be perpendicular to the length direction of the sample. For strip-shaped samples, the magnetic field can be perpendicular or parallel to the wider side of the superconductor (if it is square, any side can be used). During the test, the samples being tested are immersed in liquid nitrogen or liquid helium. This standard also gives the allowable deviations and other specific limitations of this experimental method in normal testing.
