Scope
This part of GB/T 4340 specifies the principles, symbols, and explanations of the Vickers hardness test for metals, as well as the testing equipment, samples, testing procedures, uncertainty of results, and test reports. This part prescribes the methods for measuring the Vickers hardness of metals according to three ranges of test force (see Table 1).
