Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection, labeling, packaging, storage, and product quality certificates for polyurethane and vermiculite insulation materials used in engineering pipelines.
This standard applies to insulated pipe supports and hangers composed of inorganic hard insulation supports such as expanded vermiculite base and/or hard foamed polyurethane insulation supports and steel components.
