Scope

This standard specifies the use of conventional paper sheet formers to prepare laboratory paper sheets for physical testing, in order to evaluate the relevant properties of pulp.
This standard applies to most types of pulp. However, it does not apply to certain pulps with long fibers, such as uncut cotton fibers, flax, and similar raw materials.
This standard does not apply to the preparation of laboratory paper sheets used to determine the blue light diffuse reflection factor (ISO brightness) according to GB/T 8940.2.
Note: For uncut long-fiber pulps, the uniformity of the paper sheets may not be satisfactory.
