Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for refrigerant compressors used in automotive air conditioning systems (hereinafter referred to as "compressors"). This standard applies to various types of refrigerant compressors used in automotive air conditioning systems with R134a and R407C as refrigerants. Compressors for other vehicles or those using other environmentally friendly refrigerants can be implemented with reference to this standard.
