Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for metallurgical composite pipe fittings with a nominal diameter of DN 50 to DN 800 used in pipeline transportation systems in the oil and gas industry, including the design, geometric dimensions, materials, manufacturing processes, technical requirements, inspection methods, NDT, surface quality and defect treatment, marking, transportation, and protection of these fittings.
This standard applies to transportation pipelines and process pipelines in the oil and gas industry that transport single-phase or multi-phase fluids such as oil, gas, and water containing corrosive media using corrosion-resistant alloy composite pipe fittings. It can also be used as a reference in other fields. The composite pipe fittings covered by this standard include elbows, tees, reducers, and pipe caps.
