GB/T 37199.1-2021 Plastics—Polybutene (PB) moulding and extrusion materials—Part 1:Designation system and basis for specifications
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies a naming system for polybutene (PB) molding and extrusion materials, which can be used as a basis for classification.
Note: In this document, polybutene (PB) is a short name for polybutene-1 (PB-1).
Different types of polybutene thermoplastic materials are distinguished by a classification system based on the values of specified characteristic properties, melt mass flow rate, and recommended applications and/or processing methods, important properties, additives, colorants, fillers, and reinforcing materials.
This document applies to all butene homopolymers and butene copolymers with a mass content of other 1-olefin monomers less than 50% and a mass content of non-olefin monomers with functional groups not exceeding 3%.
This document applies to materials in powder, granular, or crushed form, unmodified or modified with colorants, additives, fillers, etc.
This document does not imply that materials with the same name must have the same performance. This document does not provide the engineering data, performance data, or processing condition data needed to describe the special applications and/or processing methods of the materials. If necessary, these additional requirements can be determined using the test methods specified in GB/T 37199.2.
To describe the special applications of thermoplastic materials or to ensure the reproducibility of processing, additional requirements can be given in character set 5 (see 4.1).
