Scope

This part of GB/T 24425 specifies the ordinary type of blind holes made of steel wire bushings for symmetrical surfaces with a nominal thread diameter of 3mm to 39mm and a pitch of 0.5mm to 4mm. The steel wire bushings specified in this part, when screwed into the internal thread specified in GB/T 24425.5 for 6H, form an internal thread with a tolerance zone of 6H (GB/T 197). The steel wire bushings specified in this part are suitable for enhancing the strength of screw holes in low-strength materials (such as aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, copper alloys, cast iron, and non-metals), improving the fatigue strength of screws, and repairing damaged screw holes.
