Scope

This part of GB/T 24425 specifies the basic dimensions and tolerances of the internal thread for installing steel wire inserts with a nominal thread diameter of 2mm to 39mm and a pitch of 0.4mm to 4mm.
After the steel wire insert is screwed into the internal thread specified in this part, the tolerance zone of the formed internal thread is composed of the tolerance zone of the internal thread for steel wire inserts and the tolerance of the steel wire insert profile. This part specifies the internal thread for 5H and 6H (GB/T 197), and recommends that ordinary steel wire inserts be selected with 6H, and locking steel wire inserts be selected with 5H.
Note: The "nominal thread diameter" and "steel wire insert specifications" used in this part refer to the nominal thread diameter and thread specifications of the internal thread formed after the steel wire insert is installed into the internal thread specified in this part.
