Scope

This part of GB/T 24425 specifies steel wire bushings for symmetrical surface locking blind holes with a nominal thread diameter of 3mm to 12mm and a pitch of 0.5mm to 1.75mm.
The steel wire bushings specified in this part, when screwed into the internal thread specified for 5H in GB/T 24425.5, form an internal thread with a tolerance band of 5H (GB/T 197).
The steel wire bushings specified in this part are suitable for enhancing the strength of screw holes in low-strength materials (such as aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, copper alloys, cast iron, and non-metals), improving the fatigue strength of screws, enhancing locking performance, and repairing damaged screw holes.
