Scope

From the overall product, a number of individuals are randomly and independently selected as samples. This standard specifies a method for determining the one-sided confidence lower limit of product reliability based on such samples. For a finite population, let its size be N and the sample size be n. When the sampling is with replacement, or when the sampling is without replacement but n/N < 0.1, the n samples can be considered independent.
This standard is applicable to the estimation of the one-sided confidence lower limit of product reliability where the test results are divided into two states: success and failure. It can also be used in other situations that can be transformed into this scenario.
