本文件规定了用动物源性材料制造的医疗器械的动物和组织的来源、收集与处置(包括贮存和运输)的控制要求，不适用于体外诊断医疗器械。ISO 22442-1中给出的风险管理过程要求适用。
注：动物来源的选择对于TSE的风险管理特别重要(当利用来源于牛、绵羊、山羊、鹿、麋鹿、水貂和猫的动物组织和/或其衍生物时)。
本文件不适用于使用人体组织的医疗器械。
本文件未涉及控制医疗器械生产的所有阶段的质量管理体系的要求。
