本文件规定了稀土氧化物中全硅含量、稀土金属及其氧化物中酸溶硅含量的测定方法。
本文件适用于稀土金属及其氧化物中硅量的测定，包含钼蓝分光光度法（方法1)和电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法（方法2)。钼蓝分光光度法（方法1)适用于稀土氧化物中全硅含量及稀土金属及其氧化物中酸溶硅含量的测定，测定范围（质量分数)：0.001 0%~0.20%；电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法（方法2)适用于稀土金属及其氧化物中酸溶硅含量的测定，测定范围（质量分数)：0.010%~0.20%。
当本文件2个方法的分析范围出现重叠时，宜首选方法1作为仲裁方法。
