Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for therapeutic laser fibers.
This standard applies to therapeutic laser fibers (hereinafter referred to as fibers). Fibers refer to products that use optical fibers as the medium for laser transmission and conduct treatment by utilizing light energy.
The fibers covered by this standard do not include therapeutic fibers with inspection and diagnostic functions. Infrared hollow-core waveguides are not included.
If the fibers form part of a device and cannot be removed from the device, the device must comply with relevant national standards (such as GB 9706.1, GB 9706.20, GB 7247.1, etc.) and refer to the implementation of this standard. However, if the fibers can be removed from the device, the removed units should meet the requirements of this standard.
