Scope
This document applies to AC and DC motors, and specifically stipulates: a) the marking rules for winding connection points; b) the marking of winding wire ends; c) the direction of rotation; d) the relationship between wire end markings and the direction of rotation; e) the wire end markings of auxiliary devices; f) the commonly used wiring diagrams of motors. This document does not apply to turbine-type synchronous motors.
