GB/T 21099.2-2024 Devices and integration in enterprise systems—Function blocks(FB) for process control and electronic device description language(EDDL)—Part 2:Specification of FB concept
Basic Information
Scope
This document applies to function blocks (FBs) used in process control.
This document takes the following factors into account when specifying function blocks (FBs):
a) The device model defines consistent device components in this document.
b) The FB concept specification for measurement, execution, and processing. It includes general rules for supporting essential features of control, while avoiding details that hinder innovation and specialization in different industrial fields.
c) Electronic device description (EDD) technology, which allows the integration of real product details using tools from the engineering lifecycle.
The standardization of function blocks integrates multiple existing technologies to define and abstract the characteristics of function blocks in a unique way. The abstract method for function blocks is referred to as the "FB concept specification" in this document, and the abstract definition of function blocks can be applied to specific communication systems. This abstraction is called the FB concept specification here, and it is mapped by industrial organizations to specific communication systems and their additional definitions.
Note: This document can be mapped to ISO 15745-1.
There are currently many solutions on the market that meet the requirements of this document and demonstrate how the conceptual specification can be implemented using a given technology. New technologies need to find equivalent solutions (see Figure 4).
