GB/T 21099.2-2015 Function blocks(FB)for process control—Part 2:Specification of FB concept
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 21099 considers the following factors in defining function blocks (FBs):
a) The device model defines consistent device components for this part;
b) The conceptual specification of FBs for measurement, execution, and processing. It includes general rules for supporting the essential features of control to avoid details that hinder innovation and the specifics of different industrial fields.
This part only defines a subset of GB/T 21099.1, while GB/T 21099.1 describes the general aspects of distributed systems.
The consistency statements in Appendix B pertain only to this part of GB/T 21099. The requirements in GB/T 21099.1 are not included in these consistency statements.
FBs are defined at an abstract level, allowing various technologies to provide definitions of common features in a unified manner, as well as defining additional features that meet user needs and those expected to be implemented in the future. This abstraction is referred to as the conceptual FB specification and is mapped by industrial organizations to specific communication systems and their additional definitions. This part of GB/T 21099 is also based on the abstract definition in GB/T 19769.1.
Note: This standard can be mapped to GB/T 19659.1.
Currently, there are many solutions on the market that meet the requirements of this part of GB/T 21099 and demonstrate how the conceptual specification can be implemented using a given technology. New technologies need to identify equivalent solutions (see Figure 4).
This part of GB/T 21099 applies to function blocks (FBs) for process control.
