Scope
This standard specifies the terminology and definitions, requirements, measurement methods, and inspection rules for the rolling resistance limits of automobile tires.
This standard applies to new radial pneumatic tires for passenger cars and new radial pneumatic tires for heavy-duty vehicles.
This standard does not apply to emergency spare tires, special-purpose ST tires for highway trailers, high-passability tires for light-duty vehicles, and tires for heavy-duty vehicles with a speed capacity of 80 km/h or less.
