Scope

This part of GB/T 29168 specifies the delivery technical conditions for induction-heated elbows manufactured in accordance with the design of the pipeline system in accordance with GB/T 24259. For induction-heated elbows used in pipeline systems designed according to other specifications, it can also be used for reference.
This part is applicable to induction-heated elbows manufactured with seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes made of carbon steel or low-alloy steel as the parent pipes.
Note: These materials are typical C-Mn steels or low-alloy steels, consistent with the steel grade of ISO 3183 pipeline steel pipes.
This part specifies two product specification levels (PSLs), and the specification level of induction-heated elbows corresponds to ISO 3183.
This part is not applicable to the selection of the specification level of induction-heated elbows. The purchaser is responsible for specifying the product specification level (PSL) based on the use and design requirements; specific requirements are specified in ISO 3183.
This part is not applicable to pipeline elbows produced by other processes.
