This standard applies to industrial glycol obtained by the direct oxidation of ethylene to produce ethylene oxide and then hydrating it.
This product is mainly used as a monomer for the production of polyesters and alkyd resins, and as an electrolyte for electrolytic capacitors. In addition, it can also be used as an antifreeze, plasticizer, solvent, etc.
