Scope
This part of GB/T 6730 specifies the preparation of pre-dried samples for iron ore analysis. This part is applicable to natural iron ore, iron concentrates, and pellets, including the preparation of pre-dried samples for analysis in sintered products. This part is not applicable to direct reduction iron samples containing metallic iron, natural or processed iron ore samples with a sulfur content greater than 0.2% (by mass) or a combined water content greater than 2.5% (by mass). The aforementioned samples shall use GB/T 6730.3.
