GB/T 7247.14-2012 Safety of laser products—Part 14:A user's guide
Basic Information
Scope
This section provides the best guidelines for the safe use of laser products that comply with the IEC 60825-1 standard. The terms "laser products" and "laser equipment" used in this section refer to all devices, components, or systems that generate light radiation through stimulated emission. This section does not include light-emitting diodes (LEDs). \nClass 1 laser products typically do not pose any hazard, while Class 2 laser products only pose minimal hazard. The safe use of these products generally only requires compliance with the product's warning labels and the manufacturer's safety operating guidelines. Further protective measures described in this section should not be necessary for Class 1 and Class 2 laser products. \nThis section emphasizes the importance of risk assessment for high-power lasers, and users of low-power lasers can also benefit from this information. Table 1 provides a summary of this information. \nThis section applies to all laser-containing products, whether they have been sold or are intended for sale. It also applies to specially designed lasers (including systems used for testing and prototype systems). \nThe provisions established in this section aim to assist users of laser products and their manufacturers in understanding the general principles of safety management (Chapter 4), identifying potential hazards (Chapters 5-7), assessing the harmfulness of potential risks (Chapter 8), and establishing and implementing appropriate control measures (Chapters 9-12). \nLaser control measures vary greatly, depending on the type of laser equipment used, the processing tasks or processes to be performed, the operating environment of the equipment, and the individuals who may be at risk. Specific requirements for certain laser applications are provided in other documents of the IEC 60825 series (please refer to the prefaces and bibliographies of these documents for details). \nIn this section, terms such as "reasonably fores
