Scope

This document provides best guidelines for the safe use of laser products according to GB/T 7247.1—2024. The terms "laser products" and "laser equipment" used in this document refer to all devices, components, or systems that generate light radiation through stimulated emission.
Class 1 laser products typically do not pose beam hazards, while Class 2 and Class 3R products only pose minimal hazards. For these products, it is generally sufficient to comply with the product's warning labels and the manufacturer's safety operation guidelines. The additional protective measures described in this document are not necessary for Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3R laser products.

This document emphasizes the assessment of high-power laser risks, but users of low-power lasers can also benefit from this information.
This document applies to any products containing lasers that have been sold or are intended for sale, as well as to specially designed lasers (including test and prototype systems).
