Scope

This standard specifies the functional requirements for simulation models used to evaluate the compatibility of pantographs with overhead contact lines, including: -- input and output parameters; -- reference values for evaluating the results of simulation methods; -- comparison of detection results; -- comparison among simulation methods. This standard applies to the power collection systems of rail vehicles that come into contact with overhead contact lines, but it does not apply to rigid overhead contact line systems and trolleybus systems.
