Scope

This standard specifies the detection of residues of Malachite Green (MG) and its metabolite Leucomalachite Green (LMG) in aquatic products—the principles of the colloidal gold immunoassay, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, determination steps, result interpretation and expression, and methods for confirming results. This standard is applicable to the rapid screening detection of residues of Malachite Green and its metabolite Leucomalachite Green in edible tissues of fish, soft-shelled turtles, turtles, and shrimp and crab shells and intestinal glands. The detection limit of this standard method is 3.0μg/kg.
