Scope

This section is a standard for the inspection of the same-side tooth surfaces of involute cylindrical gears, namely the inspection standards for tooth pitch, tooth profile, spiral line deviation, and tangential comprehensive deviation. As a supplement to GB/T 10095.1, it provides recommendations on gear inspection methods and analysis of measurement results. Many of the terms used are explained in GB/T 10095.1, while others are explained where they appear or in Chapter 3.
