Scope
This standard specifies the determination methods for potassium and sodium in industrial circulating cooling water and boiler water. In this standard, atomic absorption spectrometry is applicable to the determination of potassium content from 0.3 mg/L to 50 mg/L and sodium content from 5 mg/L to 500 mg/L, while the static method is suitable for the determination of sodium content exceeding 0.23 mg/L. This standard is also applicable to the determination of potassium and sodium in various industrial waters, boiler waters, raw waters, and domestic waters.
