Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the chloride ion content in industrial circulating cooling water and boiler water. In this standard, the molar method and potentiometric titration method are applicable to the determination of chloride ion content in natural water, circulating cooling water, and boiler water supplemented with softened water, with a measurement range of 5 mg/L to 150 mg/L; the co-precipitation enrichment spectrophotometry method is applicable to the determination of chloride ion content in demineralized water and boiler feedwater, with a measurement range of 10 μg/L to 100 μg/L.
