Scope

This document describes a method for determining the color of paper and cardboard using a matte reflection method to eliminate gloss. This document is applicable to printing paper and cardboard. When the amount of ultraviolet radiation from the instrument's light source illuminating the sample is adjusted to be consistent with the fluorescent reference standard provided by the authorized laboratory under CIE illuminant C conditions as specified in GB/T 40277, this method can be used to determine the color of paper and cardboard containing fluorescent whitening agents. This document is not applicable to paper and cardboard added with fluorescent dyes or color dyes.
