Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging for 1000kV AC rod-type suspension composite insulators (hereinafter referred to as composite insulators), as well as the performance requirements for umbrella sleeve materials and core rod materials. This document is applicable to 1000kV AC overhead lines and substations used for suspension and tension composite insulators. The ambient temperature of the installation site of the composite insulators is generally between -40℃ and 40℃. This document does not include requirements for selecting composite insulators according to specific operating conditions.
