Scope

This document specifies the operating conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of high-voltage parallel capacitors. This document is applicable to capacitors connected in parallel to AC power systems with a rated frequency of 50Hz and a nominal voltage of more than 1kV, used to improve power factor. This document is not applicable to the following capacitors: --- - Self-healing type capacitors; - Combined capacitors; - Series capacitors for power systems; - Capacitors used in induction heating devices; - Capacitors used under AC voltage superimposed with DC voltage.
