GB/T 32788.3-2016 Test method for properties of prepreg—Part 3:Determination of volatile content

Scope

This part of GB/T 32788 specifies the principles, instruments and equipment, samples, test conditions, test procedures, test results, and test reports for the determination of the volatile content of prepregs. This part is applicable to the determination of the volatile content of prepregs reinforced with carbon fiber, glass fiber, aramid fiber, etc. and based on thermosetting resins. If aramid fiber is used as the reinforcing material, the water absorbed by the fiber will evaporate together with the volatile substances at the test temperature, so the water content is deducted to correct the volatile content. Note: The determination results of prepregs based on polyester resins are lower than the actual values.
