Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for halogenated hydrocarbon fire extinguishing systems and their components, including fire extinguishing agent cylinder groups, containers, container valves, nozzles, safety relief devices, selector valves, one-way valves, drive units, manifolds, connecting pipes, control panels, pressure gauges, signal feedback devices, as well as the requirements for test methods, inspection rules, and the preparation of user manuals. This standard applies to halogenated hydrocarbon 1301 fire extinguishing systems. Gas fire extinguishing systems using other types of halogenated hydrocarbon fire extinguishing agents may also be referenced for adoption.
