Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of exhaust high-efficiency filters.
This standard applies to exhaust high-efficiency filters used in facilities with biosafety protection levels of Class III and above to remove harmful biological aerosols. Exhaust high-efficiency filters with similar purposes can also be implemented in reference to this standard.
This standard does not apply to exhaust high-efficiency filters used to remove radioactive aerosols.
