Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural classification and models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of radiator thermostatic control valves (hereinafter referred to as thermostatic valves).
This standard applies to thermostatic valves in civil building heating systems that control the flow of hot water (below 120°C) through heating radiators through self-acting operation, excluding thermostatic valves of other forms such as electric ones.
