GB/Z 21716.1-2008 Health informatics—Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)—Part 1:Overview of digital certificate services
Basic Information
Scope
This section defines the basic concepts of digital certificates in healthcare and provides an interoperability solution for secure communication of health information using digital certificates. It also identifies the main stakeholders involved in health information communication and the key security services required for such communication using digital certificates. This section briefly introduces the public-key cryptography algorithms and basic components needed to configure digital certificates in healthcare, and further elaborates on different types of digital certificates (including identity certificates, certificates for associated attributes of relying parties, and self-signed certificate authority (CA) certificates), as well as the CA hierarchy system and bridging structures. This section is intended for use by health information security professionals and developers specializing in the design and development of health information applications.
