Scope

This document specifies the ultrasonic stress testing method for load-bearing components such as steel structures, bolts, and shafts of large amusement facilities.
This document is applicable to the on-site axial stress testing of load-bearing components such as solid shafts and hexagonal steel bolts with an outer diameter of not less than 10 mm, double-threaded bolts with an outer diameter of not less than 30 mm, and other load-bearing components such as steel pipes with an outer diameter of not less than 50 mm and a wall thickness of not less than 6 mm, as well as the on-site bending stress testing of such components.
The ultrasonic stress testing of load-bearing components such as steel structures, bolts, and shafts used in ropeways and other mechanical equipment shall be implemented in accordance with this document.
