Scope

This part of GB/T 27664 specifies the following two types of focused or unfocused ultrasonic nondestructive testing probes and their inspection methods:
a) Single or dual transducer contact probes that generate shear waves or longitudinal waves;
b) Liquid immersion probes.
The ultrasonic values specified in this part related to materials are based on a steel with a longitudinal ultrasonic speed of (5,920±50) m/s and a shear ultrasonic speed of (3,255±30) m/s.
This part does not specify the periodic inspection method for probes.
This part is applicable to focused or unfocused probes with a center frequency in the range of 0.5 MHz to 15 MHz.
