Scope

This standard specifies the measurement methods for the characteristics of high-pressure mercury lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, and single-ended and double-ended metal halide lamps, including dysprosium lamps, sodium-thallium-indium lamps, and scandium-sodium lamps. This standard applies to high-pressure mercury lamps, sodium lamps, and single-ended and double-ended metal halide lamps (hereinafter referred to as lamps) powered by 50 Hz AC power, which are equipped with corresponding ballasts and triggers when necessary, and operate at 92% to 106% of the rated power voltage.
