Scope

This document specifies the requirements for dental chairs used in dental clinics, the manufacturer's user manual requirements, marking and packaging requirements, describes the test methods for dental chairs used in dental clinics, and also provides manufacturers with suggestions on dental chairs and design (Appendix A).
Note: In order for this document to achieve its purpose, the term "dental practitioner" includes dentists, dental assistants, and dental technicians.
