Scope
This part of GB/T 20002 provides a framework for addressing potential unintended physical harm (risks) to children caused by their use of or exposure to products, processes, or services (even if they are not specifically designed for children), with the aim of reducing the risk of harm to children. This part is primarily applicable to personnel involved in the preparation and revision of standards, and also contains important information of interest to designers, architects, manufacturers, service providers, promoters, and policymakers. For children with special needs, it is advisable to supplement with appropriate requirements. This part does not comprehensively address these supplementary requirements. This part does not provide any specific guidance on preventing or reducing psychological or mental harm or intentional harm.
