GB/T 20002.1-2025 Guidelines for writing specific aspects in standards—Part 1:Addressing child safety

Scope

This document provides general considerations regarding child safety in the drafting of standardization documents, as well as guidance and recommendations on child-related environmental safety, potential hazards of products interacting with children, and protective measures to be considered during the drafting process. It also provides relevant information. This document does not provide guidance on non-physical forms of harm, such as intentional harm (e.g., child abuse) or psychological harm (e.g., intimidation), nor on how to minimize the risk or severity of accidental harm to children with disabilities. It does not address the economic consequences of such situations. This document is applicable to guiding the drafting of standardization documents for products interacting with children during the standardization process, as well as to considering child safety factors during the design and production of products. Note: The standardization documents referred to in this document include standards and standardized guidance technical documents.
